Platform Update

WX Teams is going offline.

We're pulling WX Teams from the web and rebuilding it as a dedicated desktop application — purpose-built for professional storm operations.

// Official Statement

Why we're making this move

After months of building and iterating on WX Teams as a web platform, we've made the decision to take it offline. The features and capabilities we're building — full NEXRAD Level II radar processing, real-time voice communications, broadcast-grade production tools — demand raw computing power that a browser simply can't deliver.

The desktop application will be reserved for VCHASE team use only. This isn't a public product. It's a professional operations tool built for the people who sit in the chair and run live severe weather coverage.

We may open access to the desktop application in the future, but not until extensive internal testing has been completed and we're confident the platform meets our standards. Until then, development continues behind closed doors.

Built-in walkie-talkie system with push-to-talk, profile overlays, and live audio visualization.
Field Companion App
Mobile app for chasers in the field — GPS tracking, status reports, waypoint receiving, and team coordination.
Desktop Application
Native app with full system access — GPU-accelerated rendering, global hotkeys, and broadcast integration.
